Bananagrams

The game contains 144 letter tiles which are placed face down on the table. This is called the BUNCH. Players select an assortment of tiles; the number depends on how many are playing. The game starts when a player shouts “SPLIT”, then each player turns over their tiles and tries to form their own collection of connecting and intersecting words. The words can be horizontal or vertical, reading left to right or top to bottom. Everyone plays at the same time. If a player uses up all their tiles they yell “PEEL” and everyone has to draw another tile from the BUNCH. At any time a player can return a difficult letter to the bunch but must take 3 letters back. Play continues until there are fewer tiles in the BUNCH than players. The first player with no remaining tiles shouts “BANANA” and is the winner of the game.
